are here for you.

We all have enough things to worry about. Food should not be one of them. If you are struggling to afford food, maybe for the first time in your life, please don’t hesitate to use any of the Wabasha County community resources. Access to nutritious meal programs and resources can be found on our website.

Winter Walking Toolkit is now available.

Wabasha County Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) encourages staying active throughout the winter by using the Winter Walking Toolkit.

Local farm to school efforts progress with training and networking.

The December 19, 2022 event in Red Wing included schools and farmers from the southeast region. The event was sponsored and presented by Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Renewing the Countryside, and U of M Extension Food Safety Team.

“It was great seeing farmers and schools networking. If farmers know what schools are looking to order, farmers can better plan for what they will grow and get schools what they want. The farmers market and hub platform makes ordering very easy for the school.”

Since November 2022, we have received $23,560 in Community Partner Funding Applications which are being processed or have been contracted. We have $1,048 in Community Partner Funding remaining in our budget. Keep updated on our budget and our contracted partners.
