Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for children (EBT) launches Summer 2024.

Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer.

The event was made possible with support from
Farmers Market Food Hubs.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Minnesotans with low incomes get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals.

The program provides support to help stretch household food budgets, but not provide for all food needs.

Lake City School’s new Agriculture teacher, Haely Leiding, has big plans and hopes for the school’s year-round greenhouse.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes offered locally for you. These classes help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative.

The first class was offered virtually in October 2023 and was a success; not only did the participants receive powerful tools, but the classes also offered attendees supportive individualized resources which were helpful additions to their lives.

Update on Current Grant Cycle

Since November 2023, we have received $18,016.00 in Community Partner Funding Applications which are being processed or have been contracted. We have $200.00 in Community Partner Funding remaining in our budget.

Our current grant cycle runs November 2023-October 2024. Keep updated on our budget and our contracted partners.
